olar bears are amazing animals
1. Polar bears skin is black! Their fur is colorless. It looks white because it reflects visible light. This lets them blend into
their surroundings, allowing them to catch unsuspecting seals. 2. Polar bears live in five different countries. The United States,
Canada, Russia, Greenland, and Norway are all home to polar bears.
3. Polar bears are big-time swimmers. Polar bears can swim for days to get from one piece of ice to another. They regularly travel
about 30 miles at a stretch. 4. A group of polar bears has two unique names. When polar bears hang out in a group, its called a
pack or sleuth. 5. Polar bears have a strong sense of smell. Polar bears can sniff out a seal above water 20 miles away and
underwater a half mile.
