2 weeks ago, I got a lot of questions about PEDs.
One of the replies came
from Cris. He asked if taking a "typical" dose is any better than taking half that dose and obtaining similar results.
And if higher doses mean the gains are greater.
The short and simple answer to the first question is: NO.
If the results are the same, going for a lower dose is always better, as
there are always bigger risks to bigger doses. So increasing the dose wouldn't make much sense if there are no added benefits.
For the second question, the answer is: again NO. Higher doses do not necessarily lead to bigger gains. Often there's a tipping point where bigger doses lead to fewer gains over time.
Those were the short answers. Now I'll explain
a bit more in-depth. Also, based on my own experience.
Personally, I lowered the dosage of most PEDs last year compared to years before. And I can confirm that my results increased when I started taking lower amounts.
It's about finding the most OPTIMAL model for you, which is entirely different from the common thought of "bigger doses, more results."
Lowering the dosage can help strike a better balance between health and maximum gains…
And it turns out that BETTER HEALTH often has a MORE SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE EFFECT on maximum gains compared to taking a larger amount of PEDs.
And if we take a minute to think about it, this makes a lot of sense.
If you add something to your body that harms your health, your body starts to fight it. Inflammation is a big part of this.
The body then consumes a lot of energy trying to restore your health. This takes away a lot of energy from your recovery capability, fat-burning processes, etc.
Also, constantly being in some sort of survival
mode will negatively influence factors such as sleep and stress levels.
So once you become healthier, these critical processes within your body demand less energy and focus. And thus, you can save more energy for your recovery capability and other processes. You start to sleep better, recover better, burn more fat, and so on.
A few things to always keep in mind with PED usage
are:
Think clearly about the goal of a specific PED With most PEDs, the trade-off between positive effects and negative side effects becomes very unfavorable at higher doses which puts your health at high risk Often these negative side effects on your health are more detrimental to your physical progress than the positive effects of the extra PED use
That's why I always recommend at least starting with small doses. And never switch to higher doses if it's not necessary for your gains. And
even if you decide to increase the doses, do it step by step and pay attention to your blood markers and progress. If you notice no additional benefits to an increase in the dose at some point, stop there.
Now you may wonder: “So what's your PED routine? What are your doses?"
I’m not going to tell haha. Not because it’s a top secret or whatever.
But I just know that once I share that, there will be people who copy me 1-on-1, and that’s another thing you should NEVER DO.
NEVER copy anyone's routine. Always let your goals, needs, blood levels, health, nutrition, and workout plan determine your PED plan.
So I'm also not going to share any specific doses I recommend
for certain PEDs or anything like that.
All I can do is share information like this to raise awareness and help you figure out the best approach while mitigating the risks. It always depends on your situation.
And yes, I CAN give you advice on that. But only within my coaching. Once I know your entire situation, when I'm involved in the process, and when we can get your
bloodwork done and analyze your health. Only then can I and will I give you a custom PED plan tailored to your situation.
