Central Pointe Park and Ride Construction Beginning on May 6th

Utah Transit Authority sent this email to their subscribers on May 3, 2024.

UTA will begin work to install electric bus charging facilities at the Central Pointe Station Park and Ride lot as early as May 6, 2024. Throughout construction, 11 parking stalls will be closed to accommodate construction and maintain vehicle access. Riders who use this lot are encouraged to find alternative parking arrangements.

Please note that parking in the Best Buy lot to access your ride on transit is not permitted and may result in booting/towing of your vehicle. UTA customer service can help riders find alternative parking solutions. Call 801-RIDE-UTA (743-3882).

The park and ride lot is expected to reopen impacted stalls on June 17, 2024. Riders will be notified once the work has been completed.

What to Expect:

. Reduced parking at Central Pointe Station, park and ride lot during construction.

. Construction signage and fencing in the area.

. Pedestrians are advised to use caution and follow posted detours when navigating through the parking lot.

. Vehicle traffic through the park and ride will be maintained, so please use caution when driving near the construction site.

. Two (2) parallel parking stalls will be permanently closed following the conclusion of the work.
