TSgt and EMT-P Philip Bronson Berg, 62, U.S. Air Force, American Medical Response, born in New Hampshire May 2, 1956, succumbed to his demons on June 22, 2018. Berg served aboard an AWACS aircraft as an Air Combat Controller for 20 years, during which he was stationed in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. He earned the Air Medal, an Air Force Commendation Medal, and an Air Force Achievement Medal, among many others. Berg retired after 20 years in the Air Force. He then went into the medical field and served as an Emergency Medical Technician with the American Medical Response. Berg was significantly involved in the Boy Scouts. As a former Eagle Scout, he knew the social, intellectual, and emotional benefits that the Boy Scouts could have on the youth. Berg was the leader of Scout Troops in the U.S. but also started up Troops abroad and overseas while on deployments. He was a true leader. Fly high, Airman! Til Valhalla, Brother!
