Dear the-nature-conservancy,

As a Nature Conservancy member, you know how vital nature is to all life on Earth — trees filter the air we breathe, lands and waters provide habitat for countless species, and nature has the power to help fight climate change.

Your loyal support shows that you’re someone who cares deeply about our natural world—and about the people who call these landscapes home. That's why I'm counting on you to help take care of nature the way it takes care of us.

When you donate right now, every dollar you give will go 2x as far thanks to a special match.

Your donation could help support our efforts to ensure nature and people can thrive together. Like our work in the Emerald Edge, for example.

This natural jewel is the world's largest remaining coastal temperate rainforest, stretching all the way from Alaska to Oregon. It's a place where nature and culture are intertwined — a place where Indigenous Peoples and local communities have lived in reciprocity for millennia with the bears, salmon, wolves, whales and the wide biological diversity of this region.

The Emerald Edge has immense carbon-storage capacity and plays a critical role in regulating Earth's climate. But unsustainable timber and mining have been a major threat here for generations.

The loss of these old-growth forests would be devastating for the climate, the region's wildlife, and for the more than 50 Indigenous First Nations, Alaska Natives and coastal Tribes who call this place home.

At the invitation of Indigenous Peoples and local communities, The Nature Conservancy and our Canadian affiliate Nature United are working in partnership to protect this important place and help support the rights and authority of the original stewards of this landscape.

If we're going to tackle climate change and ensure communities can thrive, accelerating meaningful work like this is crucial.

the-nature-conservancy, you can help be part of the solution. Give now to double your impact.

Lands and waters that are managed by Indigenous Peoples are some of the most biologically diverse and healthiest — containing 80% of the world's remaining biodiversity. That's why The Nature Conservancy is committed to authentic partnerships with local communities to tackle the dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.

With threats to our natural world increasing, now's the time to ramp up efforts like this. Will you help by making a contribution today to double the pace of urgent conservation work?

Your generosity will make a tremendous difference when you give now. Thank you for taking care of the natural world you love.

Sincerely,
