Thank You, Sam!

Dear SMART Recovery Community,

I’m writing to let know that longtime SMART volunteer Gayeanne “Sam” Lester (aka, Sam29) has retired after two decades of significant service to SMART. Sam volunteered for many years as an online facilitator for various meetings and was a Facilitator Liaison for SROL. She was also an important member of the online facilitator training team and conducted both onsite and live Zoom trainings for us. Many will have seen Sam at some point in their SMART training journeys. Sam is choosing to focus on her music as she makes this transition. We wish her the many peaceful moments that she deserves for having supported countless lives through her support of our volunteers.

Thank you, Sam! You will be missed.
