Why does it feel impossible to constantly be in a good mood?

Even more frustrating, why does my mood shift so dramatically from one day to the next?

I used to ask myself these questions all the time.

I could be following the same routine every day, but one day I would feel wonderful and the next horrible.

This inconsistency was the most confusing aspect of my mood, and it wasn’t small ups and downs - but great highs and nearly unmanageable lows.

Instead of trying to solve this issue, I initially tried to ride the waves.

On my good days, I tackled everything on my to-do list. The bad days were just write offs - sitting at home and doing absolutely nothing. This wasn’t a long term solution.

The unfortunate truth is that this wasn’t just my experience. I know that there are millions of other people that are going through what I went through.

By breaking it down, I was able to make my goals more achievable - the question was no longer this big and vague question of "how do I improve my mood?"

And the breakthrough happened when I started researching genetics.

I felt like I regained control of my health the moment I started looking into my DNA.

So that was my first step, and that’s the step that I suggest you take as well.

The truth is, if you don’t understand your body, it nearly is impossible to constantly be in a good mood.
