#% Real Mushrooms: Furry Friends Newsletter We are excited to announce that Dr. Rob Silver was named the “Holistic Educator of the Year” by the American Holistic Medical Association this past month at the annual AHVMA conference in San Diego. They specifically cited Doc Rob’s work educating veterinarians about the medicinal value of functional mushrooms, and he spoke about mushrooms at this conference.  It's been quite a month for Dr. Silver! He was also given the credential of “FACVBM” which means Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Practitioners. This credential was bestowed by the American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine (ACVBM). This is an organization founded to create a specialty college for veterinary botanical medicine. Dr. Silver joins only 14 other veterinarians who have achieved this credential. This chart can help you better determine how much to administer to your pet based on their body weight in pounds for supporting wellness and daily health.  For more serious conditions you can give the administration amount twice daily.  To increase the amount of mushrooms that may be needed for more difficult challenges your pet may face, you can even safely give 2-4 times as much mushroom to your pet,  whether it’s in powder, chew, or capsule format. To make it easier for your pet to accept that much more powder, capsules, or chews, you can give them twice or even three times daily.
