Hi Paystack,
In July, we participated in Lagos Startup Week, an exciting tech conference for Nigeria’s startup ecosystem. The event kicked off with a tour of the Paystack HQ for the Lagos Startup Week organizers and attendees, followed by 5 sessions where Stacks shared deep insights on topics ranging from revolutionizing financial services to how Startups can drive investments through good governance.
We also celebrated Africa’s achievements at the recently concluded Paris Olympics by highlighting the top 10 African countries by the number of medals won at the Olympics from its inception until 2022 🔥🚀

🎨 Artwork: How to build a passionate community around your digital content
Creating good content is important, but it’s not enough to keep your audience engaged.
In the first season of Artwork — the Paystack video show about the business side of being a creator in Africa — we spoke with Joseph Nti, creator of “Sincerely Accra," a vox-pop-driven audio show, and "Off the Top," a YouTube trivia show.
He shared practical tips on how he’s built some of the most passionate fan communities in Ghanaian digital media. Some of the key takeaways include:
Encouraging feedback in all its forms sparks more conversation and increases awareness of your content.
Building lateral connections with fellow creators in your field facilitates effortless collaborations, idea-sharing, and the formation of vibrant communities.
Understanding why you’re creating something and consistently keeping that purpose in mind can be a powerful driving force during challenging times.

🎧❤️ Here's your mixtape for July
In July, our playlist took us through a mix of genres, from Tshwala Bam's dance-inducing beat to Jack Harlow's smooth rap in "Churchill Downs."
We also got to experience a bit of church with "Christ is Mine Forevermore." And a big shoutout to Akinade Adejumo, Paystack Customer Success Analyst, for making us feel something with "Trench Kid.”
