YOUR WEEKEND COCKTAIL

THAT WHISKY & GINGER

It's time for something cool and crisp, served long like a shard of ice. Recipe below.

Vawe Highball Glass

Summertime calls for a different approach to whisky. Sure, on cooler days we're happy to sip a neat dram, but when the heat is on, mixing a blended Scotch with ice and something bubbly is a revelation.

The classic Whisky Ginger calls for whisky, ginger ale, and ice. Adding a couple dashes of orange bitters and Angostura, as Karl Steuck (@spiritandspoon) has done, brings a bit more complexity to the drink. We also recommend taking the time to source a good ginger ale (Fever-Tree makes a smoky ginger ale that pairs nicely with whisky).

THAT WHISKY & GINGER
2 oz Whisky
4 oz Ginger Ale
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
2 Dashes Angostura
Orange Wheel
