Interstate shooting in Metairie. And $8.5K grants tackle curb appeal.

By LAUREN WALCK | Staff writer

Good morning, Jefferson Parish. It's April Fool's Day so stay vigilant.

A man was shot while driving on Interstate 10 in Metairie in the middle of the day Saturday, backing up eastbound traffic. And Michelle Hunter is trying to track down more details today.

A new pilot program in one neighborhood is hoping to make a dent in Jefferson Parish’s curb appeal by offering homeowners up to $8,500.

After Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng appointed three new board members last week, Blake Paterson reports the RTA is looking to buy "coaching and consulting services" for its CEO and executive team.
