Fishing Forecast, New Simms Gear, Sale Savings!!! Greetings from the Shenandoah Valley! We have a gorgeous week ahead with perfect temperatures to be outside. Recent rainfall is helping turn our grass green again but hasn't improved local water flows much. The good news is our bass fishing has been solid and Mossy Creek and some West VA streams are keeping our trout anglers busy. The shop crew has been busy putting away the first of our fall shipments from Simms and we have some awesome new products and apparel for the season. Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 9/18/2023 FLY FISHING FORECAST 9/18/2023 Andy brings us the forecast this week. We are enjoying the cooler weather and expect temps in the 70's during the day and low 50's most nights. It will be mostly sunny this week and the trout fishing limited to the spring creeks and tailwaters as recent rainfall did not bump up flows. Terrestrial action is still hot with hoppers, beetles, ant, and crickets working the best. Our main focus is still on the smallmouth fishing and now that temps are back in check we are targeting musky again. Cooler nights may slow the bass bite in the morning hours but focus on fishing crayfish and baitfish flies to start and once the water warms up the bass should be looking up!
