Logo . Ty IA Tr. 3 % Were you with me for No Joe Jan this past new year? Feeling depleted and like you need a reset? So many of us had wild success, we're making caffeine-free January an annual thing. 2022’s #nojoejan really made me think more deeply about how I was using caffeine. I got to a place where rather than enjoying it from a balanced place of sustained energy, I had a desperate, reliant relationship to the chemical. It started to feel like it was hurting more than helping, making me more cranky than productive, bringing on PMS, puffiness, and anxiety that is not my nature. So, with much dread, I (and many of you) took a much needed break. In the beginning, I felt blah. No headaches, no pain, just totally bored without the caffeine high. I was reaching for figs and dark chocolate in the morning for a hit of sugar to get me past the hump. That flat feeling lasted a few days…and then I got Covid, making this a not-so-perfect science experiment. For the bulk of January, I ended up putting my energy towards getting better (but kept riding the No Joe train).  By the end of the month without caffeine, I felt way more peaceful, positive, patient, and open-hearted. I was more affectionate towards my husband, work was just as efficient, but with less edge, and I felt the return to a hormonal balance that had been disrupted by the daily caffeine. Surprisingly, going decaf became really easy after the first 5 days. For most of the year I kept it up and enjoyed a coffee or tea once in a while as a treat. I only started drinking daily tea in October, since I knew that on January 1st I could start the whole process all over again. So many people in our community had a similar experience. I got hundreds of messages from people sharing that they were less anxious, PMSy, stressy and more sexy, clearer skinned, and energetic. For some people, it even inspired them to kick other habits like alcohol and dairy. The science behind quitting caffeine really confirms all of the changes we felt. If you want to go all-in on the education, we’ve rounded it up for you here: NO JOE JAN 101 …and I’m sure you’re wondering what we were all drinking and doing to get through the month. The point of this detox isn’t for you to white knuckle it and feel like you don’t have anything to look forward to. We have tools for your hormones, brain, and body: all the non-stimulant energy potions and yummy new habits. For me, that’s Cosmic CocoaTM, an energizing hot chocolate with Sex Dust®, Spirit Dust®, and Collagen Protect®, and TingTM, our mango B Vitamin and Ginseng water for metabolism and energy. You can have them each once a day, twice a day, whatever you need to ease into the process. We’ll be sharing more tips and tools over the next week! So, what do you think? Are you with me? Strength in numbers! When Jan kicks off, I’ll share my game plan and some tips and tricks throughout the month. We got this! Love, Amanda SHOP NO JOE JAN STACK P.S. Stay tuned for our Doctors + Experts series launching in the new year, where I have a juicy convo with Alissa Vitti, HHC, on caffeine’s impact on reproductive health. Here’s a little sneak peek: “If you're struggling with your cycle in any way, shape or form, if you're struggling to conceive, we know that just even 1 cup of caffeine in the female and 2 cups of caffeine in the male can increase rates for miscarriage. I mean, caffeine is a powerful drug. It really is.” free shipping $65 free samples 10% off subscriptions Facebook Instagram *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
