Hi there - whether you're in a part of the world where the leaves are beginning to color or somewhere like San Diego where it's a perpetual paradise, the days are beginning to shorten and temperature is changing.
Summer sun is always great for maximizing plant growth, but it comes with more upkeep and plant care. As a plant parent, by the time fall rolls around, I'm always ready for it and here is why:
- I get to slow down my care routine: I usually go from replacing water every 2 to 3 weeks to replacing it every 4 or so with a few top offs in between
- Getting to sit back and appreciate the summer's growth: Plants are bigger and fuller than they've ever been. A few are even getting a cutting or two taken from them to add to our new prop stations
- Lovely having green plants in your home as the seasons change: I find myself spending more time in the house as the days shorten and the colors change outdoors. Having a luscious green sanctuary to spend time with at home always feels like holding onto a ray of summer through the fall and winter months.
