Edgefield Tours: Get the Inside Scoop

Thursday Jane worked at Edgefield in the weeks before the hotel opened. She watched as artists worked around the clock to complete hallway murals. She remembers when hotel reservations were scribbled in pencil and people wondered what was happening out at the tumbledown estate in Troutdale.

Now, this 40-year veteran of McMenamins – she started at our first pub, the Barley Mill, in 1983 – leads tours of Edgefield. Learn the history of the place, including little-known stories about the art, renovation and more. Free tours run Wednesday through Sunday between 9am-3pm, on the hour. Read more about Thursday here.
