The question, "What is your best seller?" gets asked on a near daily basis. Whether on the phone, via email, or in person, this question is the most frequently asked question that isn't covered on our FAQ page. We've covered some of this over the years, sometimes in brief mentions when covering a specific item, at other times in one big post. This latest version will be a monthly feature for the rest of the year. I'll cover a few items each month, briefly describe the specifics and why/how it's a bestselling item, plus give the runner up. Today I'm featuring retractable rollerball pens designed to accept the Euro/110mm refill.

If we're talking about bestselling Karas products, we have to start all the way at the top with the bestseller of all bestsellers. One might think the black or tumbled aluminum Bolt pens would be the top dog, but when it comes down to total units, the Brass Bolt is the most popular item we've ever sold. The combination of the Bolt being our most popular design with the price of the brass being under $100, and the overall look of brass likely has a lot to do with this being in the lead. Our brass writing instruments are always in the running for bestselling options, but with the Bolt the brass version is the clear winner. Technically the black anodized Bolt is the runner-up, but the tumbled aluminum is just a handful behind the black anodized.

BESTSELLING o G e B RETRAT B

The Retrakt has an ever-shifting bestseller with three options always in the running. Much like the Bolt the brass and all black anodized are two of those options, but for some reason the copper Retrakt is always in the mix as well. Depending on the month, it's one of these three options. If we go off historic numbers, the All Black is the winner by a large margin because we've only sold this version of the Retrakt for five or six years, whereas the brass and copper versions were released with the Kickstarter back in 2013. I'd imagine the reason behind the All Black being the top seller are directly linked to it looking the most like a standard rollerball pen you'd find in a department store or stationery store. It is always the one I recommend for someone who wants an understated but durable rollerball option.

Out of left field comes today's best National Day, Raspberries & Cream. I feel like this dessert was invented by someone who wanted raspberry cheesecake but they're doctor told them they needed to cut back on sugar and sweets. Masquerading as an actual dessert, this is something called camouflage and works for animals hiding from predators and might work for raspberries & cream cause most people will probably snub they're nose at this. That's okay, there are some people out there ready to gobble you up raspberries and cream, don't cry someone will take one for the team and pick you from the "bring your best dessert to work" party. If you like raspberries and cream, then today is for you cause it's National Raspberries & Cream Day; and if you don't you'll have to wait for Thursday cause that's the next "real" dessert day. Enjoy?
