The Copper Retrakt V2 has been out of stock for a while now, but we're excited to announce a fresh batch has hit the site, and they're ready to be made a part of your pen family. Upgrade your rollerball collection with our standard-sized retractable rollerball pen machined from solid Tellurium Copper. Over time this gem will develop a nice rich patina from use, or if you're a stickler for the luster of copper, polish it up with a jeweler's cloth.

If you're into an even heavier patina, grab one of the Knox Shipwreck Copper Retrakt V2 pens. These works of art have been force patinated in an electro-chemical process that etches and colors the copper to this beautiful blue color. We've got a few left, but they won't last much longer.

Our first pen was a capped rollerball pen, the Render K, and it was designed with an eye to make it look like it would have fit well in 1950s machine shops. We've always offered rollerball versions of our capped pens, especially the metal versions. It may seem counterintuitive for a pen like the Vertex to be configured with a rollerball refill, but somehow it works. The snap-cap action makes it so easy to use, it's nearly as quick to write as a retractable pen. Plus the overall size and shape are so comfortable, it makes writing with a rollerball refill a dream. It's quickly become my second favorite rollerball option, right behind the Bolt V2.

For now the Vertex Rollerball is only an option on the aluminum versions as standard offerings. Our resin Vertexes can be adapted but the rollerball refill protrudes just a bit farther because we can't drill the internal hole as deep as we can with the aluminum Vertex. Currently we have the Tumbled Vertex and the Satin Blue Vertex as the two available options for your rollerball needs. Choose from all available grip sections, and while these come configured with a Pilot G2 refill, they'll fit nearly all 110mm refills (I prefer the Pilot Precise V7 for my writing needs).
