HTA Monitoring Effects of Boeing 737 MAX 9 Grounding
The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority is closely monitoring the Federal Aviation Administration’s order this morning to ground and inspect Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft. We advise those traveling to or from the Hawaiian Islands today to check with their airline or travel advisor for any possible schedule changes as a result of this safety measure.
Keep in touch with HTA via social media:
HTA recognizes the use of the 'okina ['] or glottal stop, one of the eight consonants of the (modern) Hawaiian language; and the kahakō [ō] or macron (e.g., in place names of Hawai'i such as Lāna'i). However, HTA respects the individual use of these markings for names of organizations and businesses.
