Don’t go it alone, Entity Administrators!

As an Entity Administrator, you are responsible for a variety of tasks, one of which is annually renewing your entity’s registration. If you are the only Entity Administrator for your organization, that task is yours alone, no one else can take it over.

Let’s say your entity has to renew its registration every year around the start of school, but you need to travel four states away to help your child move into their dorm. You are a hard worker, so you get all the “paperwork” done, but while you’re gone, your boss keeps calling you to ask if you have heard anything about the renewal. You have to focus on work instead of your road trip ahead.

Now, let’s change the scenario a bit. Before you take your road trip, you invite a trusted co-worker to become another Entity Administrator. That individual can now follow-up on the registration while you’re making memories with your family. All you have to do is log in to SAM.gov and add them as a new Entity Administrator. If you don’t know how, see our helpful instructions. Just make sure to choose your new Entity Administrator wisely since they have the same permissions you do.

Invite other employees to become Entity Administrators. You can distribute the work and ensure your organization never has to rely on just one person to get the job done!
