SUE BIRD JOINS DEEP BLUE AS FIRST PARTNER,

WNBA legend Sue Bird has joined Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment as its first Partner and Chief Strategy Officer. Led by Founder and CEO, and Partner at Giant Spoon, Laura Correnti, the firm is focused on becoming the leading agency of record in women’s sports.


Laura and Sue are partnering to lead this first-of-its-kind firm to support brands as they navigate growth markets in sports and entertainment, focusing first on women’s sports. This pairing marks the first time the ad industry will have the opportunity to engage with a female sports legend and an agency veteran within an executive leadership team.


In her role as Partner and Chief Strategy Officer, Bird will provide Deep Blue clients with unprecedented athlete-driven insights in the boardroom — informing and stewarding brand strategy, marketing and communications, and partnerships in the women’s sports space. Bird will also support the firm across business development and thought leadership initiatives, including Deep Blue’s Business of Women’s Sports Summit, Cannes Lions and Paris Olympics events.
