' Amanogowa' flowering cherry trees are one of our most popular plants. If you would like to grow some this year, we recommend ordering them now, for spring shipping, because they will sell out.
This columnar form of the always-lovely Japanese Cherry grows to 20 feet tall by only 4-5 feet wide, which lends it beautifully to smaller spaces, or lining driveways and streets. Amanogowa's feature erect branches decorated with upright clusters of fragrant, semi-double, shell-pink flowers in mid-to-late spring. Its deep-green leaves turn bright orange and red in autumn, before dropping to show off its lovely ornamental bark.
