New school models are reshaping the American educational landscape. Emerging charter school models, micro schools, career and
technical programs, and different forms of homeschooling are expanding nationwide. But can these models build on the current
momentum? What infrastructure is needed to make them sustainable over the long term?
The two-day event will bring together leading educators, entrepreneurs, and researchers to discuss the research on new and
emerging school models.
We are excited to welcome Alberto M. Carvalho, superintendent of Los Angeles Unified School District, and Jeff Sandefer of Acton
Academy, who will each deliver a keynote address.
SESSIONS INCLUDE:
* What’s the growth potential of emerging models?
* Will universal choice programs be captured by the affluent or will they open up opportunities for all?
* Are religious charter schools constitutional?
* What policies are needed for CTE to work?
* Are micro schools sustainable?
* Redesigning the charter sector
* and more
