NOPD Seeking Suspect in Multiple Fifth District Burglaries

Burglary suspect

New Orleans - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with multiple business burglaries.

 

In the early morning hours of Sunday June 30, 2024, several businesses in the Fifth District were broken into and investigators say the pictured subject may be responsible.

 

Businesses in the 600 block of Poland Avenue, 600 block of Lesseps Street, and 3000 block of Dauphine Street were reported burglarized.

 

In several cases a glass door was smashed and in another, a door was pried open. Cash registers were stolen in at least two of the burglaries.

 

Investigators are looking into the possibility that more businesses were hit by the same perpetrator.  He is is described as a Black male, possibly having a tattoo on his left hand.
