Whether a nonprofit’s goal is to raise $25k or $25 million, every client gets ALL of us.

Our team brings top-tier analytical thinking and strategic insight to our clients from day one. In our initial meeting with a client, we ask, “And so what?” - a lot! This famous phrase (coined by the world-renowned business consultant and father of modern management theory, Peter Drucker) is designed to cut straight to the essence of the fundamental purpose driving the organization.. It helps to clarify the direction the organization is taking and the mission of the leader in that initiative  - because, fired up with purpose, the sky's the limit. 

We were recently approached by WeeCare, a volunteer-led organization (with an annual operating budget of $25,000) helping families with preemie babies navigate the NICU and beyond. In the initial meeting, we started the conversation with WeeCare by asking, “Why?” We wanted to get to the essence of what was driving two sisters-in-law who had experienced premature delivery to fundraise on behalf of other families facing similar circumstances. We discovered a world of empathy and kindness in two mothers who know firsthand how lonely and scary it is for a mother to see her precious baby fight for every breath. The founders of WeeCare ensure that hot meals, emotional support, mental health services, mom gift packages, sibling gift packages, transportation, and other resources are all provided to empower families with preemies around the world. Their story spoke of meaning and purpose, two critical elements of a successful campaign.

In merging the science of algorithms with the arts of storytelling and leadership development, Charidy’s team turned WeeCare’s original $25,000 budget into a $100,000 goal which became $250,000, and ultimately ended as a $319,937 campaign - 12 times their original goal! All this, despite the fact that the organization had no matchers. 

“And so what?” helps shape the story an organization tells to matchers, mid-tier donors, and, finally, the entire community. More than the vision or mission, this story needs to open hearts in order to drive giving.
