Hey there,
Here are some crafts your kids will love to make the 4th of July extra special:
* Firework Salt Painting: Make some fireworks that will stick around for more than 20 seconds ;) Gather black construction paper,
glue, salt, liquid watercolors or food coloring, and paintbrushes. Get the kids to draw firework shapes with glue on the black
paper, sprinkle salt on the glue, and then use a paintbrush to add colors to the salt for a beautiful firework scene. When the
glue dries, you’ll be left with beautiful keepsakes.
* Handprint Bald Eagle: Forget about turkeys, we make eagles on the 4th of July! Get some brown, white, and yellow construction
paper, glue, scissors, and googly eyes. Get your kids to trace their handprints on each piece of paper and assemble an amazing
bald eagle to greet the holiday!
* Sparkler Safety Holders: Your kids will love these (and you’ll feel better too!). Get a foam sheet, scissors, markers, and
whatever else they’d like to decorate with. Then cut the foam sheets into fun shapes (stars, flags, sword hilts) and let them
decorate them to their heart’s content. When you’re done, insert a sparkler into the foam and you’ve got a fun holder!
* Mini Fireworks: For a little firework magic, all you need is a mason jar, water, oil, and food coloring. Fill the jar with
water, add a small amount of oil, and drop in food coloring to wow your kiddos with beautiful bursts of color before the real
fireworks start!
These crafts not only keep kids entertained but also can add to the festive mood and make some wonderful memories!
Have so much fun on the 4th of July!
